A large part of working with an Exercise Physiologist will be addressing lifestyle and behavioural factors. You'll get the support you need to make the changes necessary to improve your quality of life.
An Exercise Physiology Initial consult is necessary for starting your journey in managing your chronic disease, injury or illness.
Your Exercise Physiologist will help explain your diagnosis and how exercise can help.
Book in for an initial appointment and your Exercise Physiologist will take you through an assessment. This includes the history of your presenting condition, any medications you may be on plus your exercise history. You will then be taken through some assessments specific to you and your situation to give you an idea of your strength and fitness. You will then work with your exercise physiologist to formulate an exercise and lifestyle plan, tailored to you.
Exercise Physiology takes a holistic approach, this means that we can also address mental wellbeing, lifestyle and behavioural changes necessary for your health.
Ask your GP if you are eligible for a Chronic Disease Management plan, which can give you up to 5 sessions a year at a subsidised rate.
