We offer Perth’s favourite Pilates Reformer, Mat, Barre and Core Functional Fitness classes. Our classes focus on the 5 basic principles of Pilates to ensure you get the most out of every exercise taught by our Instructors.
Pilates Reformer classes combine stability and correct biomechanics with a great workout. The STOTT PILATES reformer machines assist with correct technique and challenge your muscles to develop strength without bulk, improving flexibility/mobility, posture and bone density. Small class sizes of 7 allows for individualised instruction for those who want fitness, strength and mobility to help with daily aches and pains. From sedentary to athletes, everyone will benefit from core techniques and relearning how to move the body properly. Cardio – Jump Board classes are the perfect way to incorporate cardio work into your Pilates routine!
Matwork Pilates classes at Bodyworks Subiaco are all about intelligent exercise. Matwork Pilates describes our sessions that include matwork, barre classes, and pre-natal Pilates. Matwork Pilates is for those that want a safe workout using bodyweight and props designed to improve strength, tone, flexibility and your overall fitness.
Barre is a safe and effective workout and is a fusion between dance and Pilates exercises. Barre at Bodyworks is the brainchild between a rehabilitation physiotherapist in combination with an ex professional dancer who together have fused the principles of dance and Pilates safely.
This high intensity workout choreographed to music is fun whilst still educating you in smooth controlled movement encouraging toning, strength and flexibility without injury. The dance based workout uses the ballet barre (hence the name) and will keep you fit and firm whilst encompassing the Pilates principles of breath, local control and global mobility. Warning: This class is addictive and NO prior dance experience is necessary.
Core Functional Fitness
Ramp up the intensity a notch with our CORE classes! Boost your metabolism by working multiple body segments simultaneously. High intensity interval training (HIIT) meets Pilates! We use fun new props including the medicine ball, large stability balls, strength & ankle tubing and the stability cushion. To keep these workouts safe and effective we start you out with stretching and end with stretching.
